Baby Crib - Check!

My latest baby venture has been looking for a white crib. It might sound like an easy task, but the majority of white cribs look very feminine. Luckily, I found the Delta Glenwood 3-in-1 Convertible Crib at Target. Maybe I was immediately sold because it had our safari baby bedding in it? Nevertheless, I am happy another baby item is marked off out list!

Also, Mady is still getting use to the idea of having a baby brother or sister live in her room too. Today she said, "Mama, I love it! The baby will snuggle in it's cage."

Zoo Days

Mady loved watching the hippos!
Today Mady and I enjoyed a girls day at the Saint Louis Zoo. The Zoo is a fabulous and free activity to take your little one during warm weather. After we looked at Mady's favorite Zoo animals, we walked over to Turtle Park. Mady loved seeing the large concrete turtles and even got to swing for a little bit!

My Valentine

We decided to celebrate Valentine's Day a few days early. Every year we go out to a nice dinner and give presents to our daughter, but I wanted to add something a little special for my hubby this year. Yesterday I made a special trip to The Cup to pick out a variety of their Valentine's cupcakes. The Cup is famous for their delicious cupcakes and they even made our awesome cupcake wedding cake. Also, I came across a $10 Groupon for $25 worth of food at The Drunken Fish. During our honeymoon we had a cozy dinner and ate the most delicious Japanese food at The Drunken Fish. I am excited for a date night before the new little one arrives. Mady even got a few Valentine's goodies of her own - enjoy the photos!

Girls Night

After a frustrating afternoon at a doctor's appointment, I was happy to spend the night out with two of my favorite girls! Mady and I enjoyed a fun filled evening with the birthday girl, Erin. First, we took Erin to McDonald's for dinner. A dinner at McDonald's might not sound like a big deal to many people, but it is for Erin. During our freshman year of college, Erin's mom sent her boxes of birthday goodies and money just for a McDonald's Happy Meal (hard to believe that was 5 years ago). Ever since then it has been an annual tradition to take Erin to McDonald's for a birthday Happy Meal. After we finished dinner it was time to give Erin a special present that I have been waiting months to give her at just the right time. Erin opened a gift bag to find an unfinished scrapbook. At first Erin had a puzzled look on her face, until she saw the very first page of the scrapbook. This page had a Godmother birthday card. I could honestly not think of a better friend to be the Godmother of my next child and look forward to filling the next scrapbook pages with great memories! Next, we drove down to Chafitz Arena to watch Disney Live! Mickey's Magic Show. The show was fabulous and featured Mickey characters and many of the Disney princesses. Erin and Mady loved watching Mickey and the gang perform magic tricks!

Shrek Vs. Spongebob

Shrek pencil Valentine cards OR Spongebob Silly Bandz Valentine cards??? Such a hard decision for a two and a half year old. After much debate in the Target shopping cart, Mady picked Spongebob Silly Bandz Valentine cards for her preschool party. Tonight I helped Mady fill out her 16 little Valentine cards and she is so excited to give Spongebob Silly Bandz to all her preschool friends!

My First Barbie

Mady hit a milestone today! She went to the potty all day without any accidents (overnight and during a long shopping trip). As a reward Uncle Nay Nay bought Mady her first Barbie. Mady was so excited to play with her Barbie and little puppies, especially as she has been obsessed with the Barbie Rapunzel movie. Enjoy the photos!

Room Essentials Rug

Call me a bargain shopper! Tonight I found a Room Essentials circle rug at Target for 50% off on clearance. The coloring of the rug online is a little different than the actual colors, but the rug matches the safari decor very well! I am excited to place this rug in front of our new little ones crib soon.

Crib Bedding
For months I have admired the Tiddliwinks Safari Friends crib bedding that was on display a Target. Luckily, a few weeks ago I found the last safari bedding set on clearance. Just to find out that Tiddliwinks is keeping the safari theme in their spring collection as well as adding additional matching pieces - Bonus!  Nevertheless, I was excited to see that Target is having a baby sale this week, which includes their Tiddliwinks bedding sets (up to 20% off). I could not pass up ordering the matching dust ruffle and changing table pad cover . Hopefully the new little one loves the safari room theme as much as I do!

Snow Day Unpacking = Bumbo

My daughter and I enjoyed our snow day by unpacking her old baby boxes. We found many great baby items to pass along to her new sibling. One of her favorite things as a baby was her Bumbo seat, which she loves to still squeeze into. The Bumbo seat is perfect for babies who can hold their heads up, but not quite sit up on their own. The Bumbo seat can also turn into a great activity seat and high chair for older babies. Their is a detachable tray that can be purchased separately for this feature.

Baby Room Project - Check!

 (2) ClosetMaid 9 Cube Organizers
Our first baby room project is finished! The ClosetMaid cube organizers from Target turned out amazing and were an excellent solution to divide the large room space. Plus, they perfectly match our safari theme!
